Pet Travel Cayman

Standard Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of Pet Travel Cayman’s website, client portal, document-management services, administrative services, and pet travel assistance services.

By creating an account, submitting a pet travel case, requesting services, uploading documents, or making payment for services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Our Role and Scope of Services

Pet Travel Cayman (“Pet Travel Cayman,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides pet travel administration, document review, compliance assistance, coordination, and logistical support for clients relocating or travelling with pets.

Our services may include, depending on the service selected:

  • Reviewing information and documentation supplied by the client;
  • Assisting clients in understanding applicable pet travel requirements;
  • Organising and tracking required documentation;
  • Preparing administrative information for applications and submissions;
  • Facilitating communication with relevant government authorities, veterinary providers, airlines, laboratories, and other service providers;
  • Coordinating appointments or other services where requested and available; and
  • Providing status updates, reminders, and administrative guidance through our client portal.

Pet Travel Cayman is an independent private service provider. We are not the Cayman Islands Government, the Cayman Islands Department of Agriculture (“DoA”), Customs and Border Control, an airline, a veterinary clinic, or a laboratory.

Pet Travel Cayman does not issue government permits, veterinary certificates, laboratory results, airline approvals, or border-entry decisions.

The Cayman Islands Department of Agriculture remains the authority responsible for reviewing and approving applicable animal import and export requirements and issuing relevant permits. Airlines and other transport providers may also impose their own requirements.

2. Government and Third-Party Requirements

Pet travel requirements can change and may differ depending on the animal, country of origin, destination, route, airline, transit country, and applicable regulations.

Pet Travel Cayman will make reasonable efforts to provide current administrative guidance based on information available to us at the time of service.

However, government authorities, airlines, veterinary authorities, laboratories, and other third parties retain independent authority over their respective requirements and decisions.

Clients remain responsible for complying with the requirements applicable to their specific journey.

3. Client Responsibility for Accuracy

The client is responsible for providing complete, accurate, current, and truthful information about themselves, their pet, and their travel plans.

This includes, where applicable:

  • Pet name, species, breed, sex, age, and date of birth;
  • Microchip number and implantation information;
  • Vaccination history;
  • Rabies vaccination information;
  • Rabies titre test information;
  • Veterinary records;
  • Health information relevant to travel;
  • Previous travel and residency information;
  • Countries visited by the pet;
  • Photographs;
  • Flight and travel information; and
  • Any other information reasonably required for the applicable application or service.

The client must promptly notify Pet Travel Cayman of any change to information previously provided.

Pet Travel Cayman is not responsible for consequences arising from inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, or intentionally withheld information supplied by the client.

4. Authenticity of Documents

Clients are responsible for ensuring that documents uploaded or supplied to Pet Travel Cayman are genuine, complete, legible, and issued by the appropriate authority or accredited professional.

This may include vaccination certificates, laboratory reports, veterinary health certificates, microchip records, government endorsements, permits, photographs, and other supporting documents.

Pet Travel Cayman may review documents for administrative completeness and consistency. Such review does not constitute independent verification of the authenticity of a document or guarantee that a government authority, airline, veterinarian, laboratory, or other third party will accept it.

Pet Travel Cayman will not knowingly submit fraudulent or intentionally misleading documentation.

5. Breed and Eligibility Information

Certain animals may be subject to breed, eligibility, health, route, or other restrictions.

Pet Travel Cayman may assist with identifying potential eligibility issues and may request additional information or documentation where appropriate.

Any eligibility assessment provided through our services is administrative guidance and does not replace a determination by the Cayman Islands Department of Agriculture or another competent authority.

Clients must provide accurate breed and lineage information to the best of their knowledge.

Where a government authority determines that an animal is ineligible for entry or subject to restrictions, that determination will control.

6. Timing and Travel Dates

Pet travel preparation may require significant advance planning. The actual time required depends on the pet's circumstances, country of origin, testing requirements, veterinary appointments, government processing, airline requirements, and other factors.

The Cayman Islands Department of Agriculture publishes specific requirements concerning microchipping, rabies vaccination, rabies titre testing, veterinary documentation, treatments, and import permits.

Pet Travel Cayman will make reasonable efforts to help clients plan according to applicable requirements and requested travel dates.

However, we do not guarantee that a permit, document, test result, veterinary certificate, airline booking, or government approval will be available by a particular date.

7. Rush or Late Requests

Where a client engages Pet Travel Cayman with limited time before the requested travel date, additional administrative work may be required.

Pet Travel Cayman may apply a rush or expedited service fee where such a service is available and has been agreed with the client.

Payment of a rush fee does not guarantee expedited government processing, permit approval, airline acceptance, or travel.

8. Government, Veterinary, Airline and Other Third-Party Decisions

Pet Travel Cayman does not control decisions made by:

  • Government departments or veterinary officers;
  • Customs and border authorities;
  • Airlines and airline cargo departments;
  • Veterinary clinics;
  • Official government veterinarians;
  • Diagnostic laboratories;
  • Airport handlers; or
  • Other third-party service providers.

Pet Travel Cayman is not responsible for delays, refusals, errors, cancellations, additional requirements, or other decisions made independently by such third parties, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Client Payment Responsibilities

Pet Travel Cayman may charge service fees for administrative, document-review, coordination, compliance-support, and other services.

Government fees, veterinary fees, laboratory fees, airline charges, transportation costs, accommodation, quarantine charges, and other third-party expenses are separate unless expressly included in a written service quotation.

Where applicable, Pet Travel Cayman may collect agreed third-party costs from the client for onward payment or processing. Such amounts remain subject to the terms and refund policies of the relevant third party.

10. Payment Methods

Pet Travel Cayman currently accepts the payment methods made available through the client portal or otherwise communicated by Pet Travel Cayman, which may include:

  • Wire transfer; and
  • Cash payments in Grand Cayman.

A payment is not considered verified or received until Pet Travel Cayman confirms the payment.

Submitting proof of payment does not itself constitute payment verification.

11. No Guarantee of Travel or Entry

Payment for Pet Travel Cayman services does not guarantee:

  • Government approval;
  • Issuance of an import or export permit;
  • Airline acceptance;
  • Boarding;
  • Transit approval;
  • Entry into the Cayman Islands;
  • Avoidance of quarantine;
  • A particular processing time; or
  • Completion of travel on the client's requested date.

The client remains responsible for confirming airline requirements and ensuring that all travel arrangements are compatible with the applicable rules.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pet Travel Cayman will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or additional losses arising from third-party decisions or events outside our reasonable control.

This may include additional airline costs, accommodation, quarantine, veterinary expenses, replacement transportation, return transportation, missed travel, or other consequential expenses.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pet Travel Cayman's total liability arising directly from the services provided will be limited to the amount of the Pet Travel Cayman service fees actually paid by the affected client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13. Client Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the client agrees to be responsible for losses, claims, costs, or expenses arising from:

  • False or misleading information supplied by the client;
  • Fraudulent or altered documents supplied by the client;
  • Failure to disclose relevant information;
  • Failure to follow applicable government, veterinary, or airline requirements; or
  • Actions or omissions by the client that materially contribute to a travel, permit, or compliance problem.

14. Force Majeure

Pet Travel Cayman will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

These may include government closures or delays, regulatory changes, airline cancellations, aircraft or cargo restrictions, extreme weather, natural disasters, public emergencies, strikes, transportation disruptions, technology outages, laboratory delays, veterinary availability, or other comparable events.

Where additional administrative work is required because of such circumstances, additional service fees may apply where communicated and agreed in advance.

15. Changes to Travel Plans

Clients must notify Pet Travel Cayman as soon as possible if their:

  • Travel date changes;
  • Airline changes;
  • Flight route changes;
  • Destination changes;
  • Pet information changes; or
  • Other material travel information changes.

A change may require additional document review, government communication, new documentation, airline coordination, veterinary work, or other services. Additional fees may apply.

16. Portal and Account Use

Clients are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for ensuring that information submitted through their account is accurate.

Clients must not use the portal to upload fraudulent, unlawful, malicious, or intentionally misleading material.

Pet Travel Cayman may suspend or restrict access where necessary to protect the platform, clients, staff, third parties, or the integrity of an active case.

17. Electronic Communications and Records

Clients agree that Pet Travel Cayman may communicate with them electronically through the client portal, email, telephone, or other contact information supplied by the client.

Electronic records, uploaded documents, messages, acknowledgements, payment records, and audit records may be maintained as part of the client's case file.

18. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, submitting a service request, uploading documents for processing, requesting Pet Travel Cayman services, or making payment for services, the client confirms that they have had an opportunity to review these Terms and agrees to be bound by them.

19. Updates to These Terms

Pet Travel Cayman may update these Terms when necessary to reflect changes in our services, operational practices, applicable requirements, or legal obligations.

The version applicable to a client's case will be identified by its effective date and may be retained as part of the client's case record.
